In August 2013 Maryann Kaikai, Creative Director of Madam Wokie, received a certificate ad award from the US State Department for her participation in the 2013 African Women’s Entrepreneurship Programme.The presentation followed weeks of intensive training and mentoring by various arms and departments of the US government on entrepreneurship and nation building. It provided and excellent opportunity for Maryann Kaikai to network with other likeminded entrepreneurs from across Africa.
