MADENG BEACH FESTIVAL 2010: MADAM WOKIE ON THE RUNWAY

The Madeng Festival is an annual event in Freetown that celebrates Sierra Leonean music, fashion, food, culture and art.The festival usually includes a fashion show at the end of the night, with several participating designers and artisans.

These pictures were taken by Vickie Remoe during the December 2010 Madeng Beach Festival. The designs from that collection included intricately embellished Ankara dresses and country cloth pieces.
