In July 2013 Maryann Kaikai, Creative Director of Madam Wokie had an interview on the International Visitor Leadership Program for the U.S. Department of State. Speaking about her time at the programme, Maryann Kaikai notes "I am beyond grateful to have been part of this premier professional exchange program. To say I learnt a lot from it would be an understatement and I cannot wait to unveil the new plans for Madam Wokie which I can definitely say have been a product of this programme".
